Why am I getting an error when trying to launch a Facebook Ad Campaign in Command?

Authors list

When you connect your Facebook account to Command, to run ad campaigns, it not only creates the connection in Command Settings, but there is also a business integration that is set up (automatically) in the back-end of Facebook as well. Sometimes, that business integration is disrupted, causing errors when you try to run a Facebook ad campaign in Command.

If you are getting errors when trying to run a Facebook ad campaign in Command, follow the steps below to reset the connection and get you back on track:

Disconnect Facebook from Command

First you need to disconnect your Facebook account from Command Settings. This will allow you to eventually reconnect the account, which should fix the issue:

1. Log in to https://agent.kw.com with your KW login credentials.

2. At the top right of the page, click your Name, then select Settings from the drop-down.

3. On the Connected Apps page, find Facebook (Ads Manager), in the list, and click Manage.

4. In the pop-up, click Disconnect.

5. On the Connected Apps page, find Facebook (Ads Manager), in the list, and click Manage.

4. In the pop-up, click Disconnect.

Remove the Command Integration from Facebook Settings

You will need to reset the connection with Command, which requires you to remove the Command integration from within Facebook. This will allow you to start fresh with a new connection:

1.  Log into the Facebook account that was connected to Command.

2. Ensure that you are the admin for the Facebook Business Page in question. If you are not the admin, you will need an admin for the page to complete the next step.

3. In Command Settings, remove the Keller Williams API integration, from the Business Integrations settings page.

Reconnect Facebook with Command

Now you can reconnect your Facebook account with Command, which will allow you to run a new ad without getting an error:

1. Log in to https://agent.kw.com with your Keller Williams login credentials.

2. At the top right of the page, click your Name, then select Settings from the drop-down.

3. On the Connected Apps page, find Facebook (Ads Manager), in the list, and click Connect Account.

4. A pop-up will appear. Enter your Facebook login credentials, then click Log In.

Make sure you connect the personal Facebook account that your Facebook Business Page is connected to. When creating a Facebook/Instagram ad in Campaigns, you'll be able to select your business page from a drop-down.

That will connect your Facebook account with Command, now you will need to start a new Facebook ad campaign in Command (don't use the old campaign that was giving you an error).
