How does the Marketplace work with regards to my place in Teams and Market Centers?

The Marketplace is built so that you can access it from different “viewpoints.” By default, every agent has their own Personal View; this is what you will see upon accessing it. With your Personal View, you will be able to make purchases on your own behalf using your credit card. You will also be able to cancel, modify, and manage billing details that are tied to the products you purchase.

By hovering over your name in the top navigation bar, you will be able to see other possible views. The two most likely additional views you will have are the Market Center View and the Team View (if you are a part of one).

The primary difference with these additional views is that instead of purchasing apps with your own credit card in your Personal View, you will make requests for the Marketplace admin in your market center or team to purchase different products on your behalf. Instead of a “buy” button you will see a “request” button.

If you don’t see a market center or team that you are a part of right away, please be patient; these views will not show up until an admin of that organization logs in to the KW Marketplace.

Rainmakers and market center leadership roles are created as Marketplace admins. Marketplace admins can purchase products for their team, buying a number of “seats,” and assigning those “seats” to the team members. Marketplace admins can also assign the admin role to others on their team.
